Xristos’ Tokyo Fixed Road Rocket

One of our all time favorite brands, Tokyo Fixed stands as a curious amalgam of the traditional and the modern in cycling frames. Combining classic looks with superb handmade manufacturing these frames were produced to be fast and light. Road Rocket model weights at 2.05 kg and is made of Columbus Spirit, Columbus MAX and super thin Spirit Keirin making a super stiff, racy but extremely light frame.

Paired with a Columbus carbon fork and minimalist paint scheme these frames were the top of our range when it comes to steel. They are now defunct as Tokyo Fixed closed its doors when Max Lewis the owner decided to pursue other business endeavours in Japan.

This last frame was hanging on our wall for a couple of years before Xristos enquired for a top high end frame as a replacement. His superb collection of parts made this bike a great racy build and here are some shots of it.
