48/17 Cycles: established 2011
48×17 Cycles was founded in 2011. Its roots run deep in the independent cycling scene and the contemporary urban lifestyle that it promotes. Its focus is on small brands, independent production and quality parts from high end companies.
Fuelled by the rise of the global urban bike movement of the late-00s as well as past giants such as Fausto Coppi, Eddy Merckx, Koichi Nakano and Michael Hübner.
We are inspired by the 1985-1995 decade of deep experimentation of artisans like 3Rensho, Tom Ritchey, Yorgos Vogiatzis, Dimitris Katsanis and the so many to list Italian framebuilders, our aim is to celebrate and take forward the passion found in this romantic era of cycling.
We love your legs.
As a commercial space 48/17 focuses on three axis: aesthetics, functionality, value.
It wishes to act as a meeting point of the people passionately involved in the local community: creatives, vagabonds, roamers – to provide surface, substance and vision for a sustainable outdoor experience.
It offers high quality specialised services, custom built bikes, in-house wheelbuilding, and a careful production of technical clothing and gear.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday 11.00-20.00, Saturday 11.00-16.00, Sunday/Monday closed
