Billy’s Surly Preamble Bike Packer

Billy is a good friend and he lives in Crete, Sri Lanka, Senegal through out the year as he is a digital nomad working form distance. He has a few bikes around the world where he partially resides and he came to the shop wanting to build a straightforward tourer.

This is our version of Preamble, Surly’s latest adventure frame. It has a lot of the complicated bits turned off, so what you get here is straighforward stuff that can make your life easier on the road.

We build this bike on a 1×12 SRAM MTB shifting with a 11/52 cassette, Scwalbe Marathon tyre, Surly Moloko bar and Brooks Cambium saddle.
