Stefanos’ Fidusa restoration track
Its crazy but you can pretty much say with certainty that these Fidusa vintage track racers are starting to become really rare. So we were really happy to see that Stefanos was planing a full restoration project on this forgotten stallion.
The frameset was restored and repainted by Yorgos’ at Fidusa to this plain black. Agressive geometry, but not the most extreme, with nice Italian style lugs on Columbus tubes. Italian bottom bracket threads.
Stefanos wanted a mixture of Italian and Japanese track parts so we fitted a Campagnolo headset to start with. We laced Livery Design Gruppe’s beautiful drillium hubs on a radial pattern (front) to 3x (rear) on Ambrosio rims and dressed them up with Gatorskins.
For cockpit we chose a combination of Nitto Jaguar stem to Nitto B125AA alloy bar NJS paired with a Nitto B65 seatpost (stock saddle). Featured on this build is the Factory 5 Lattice crankset that we grouped it with a DID NJS chain, Surly 17teeth cog and Profile racing lockring.
As the years pass by it is by sheer joy that we see young guys falling for Greek handmade frames of the past, stallions of the golden era of European framebuilding.
Cant stop – wont stop.
