Panos’ Tommasini Tecno road bike complete

Tommasini, based out of Grosseto Tuscany is our long lasting handmade made to measure partner in Italy. The company has been producing bikes since the 1940s founded by Irio Tommasini and now are into the third generation passing from father to son. They are meticulously crafted with attention to detail and high professionalism.

Right now when our customers ask for a made to measure geometry it is Tommasini that can produce the bike of their imagination fitted like a glove in hand. The process we use is fairly simple, avoiding complex fitting machines that in the end produce silly results. In our philosophy it is the craftsmanship that needs to be brought into the forefront both in preparation/measuring (our part) as well as in manufacturing/constructing – and not freud techy systems. Using a measuring tape and our knowledge we prepare some figures for the builder specifically for the customer as we talk with him his riding style. Its a simple process but produces incredible results. As someone in the bike industry said “technology is a poor substitute for experience”.

This bike we prepared for Panos is even more interesting because Panos is moving from a contemporary carbon frame build (Trigon Korea) to this steel Tommasini frame. Panos profile is racy participating in 5-10 races per year, riding audax and he is fresh from a staggering 17th position in 2017 Spartakiada event.

We are super stoked to see someone like that coming over to riding a steel bike with contemporary components (Ultegra 2017 11s) and also dissing factory wheels for these awesome White Industries/Archetype wheelset. After all even in biking small workshops around the world like Tommasini and White Ind. are the ones that create the culture.

Having said that there is no that much to say for this build apart from listing it out.
