Navine’s Velo Orange Polyvalent Low Kicker
One of the most interesting bikes we build in 2021 is this amazing Velo Orange Polyvalent Low Kicker. It is not just because of its complexity but also for its intended use.
Navine is a UK artist that is living and working now in Greece and specifically in Aigina island in the Saronic Gulf. She is not new to cycling, she was riding road bikes quite regularly in London. She recently completed an amazing mural for the entrance to the Athens Bienalle exhibition that really took the art world by storm and received really top reviews.
So we were really chuffed to have to build a bike for someone with knowledge of bikes but also really good taste!
This is meant to be an adventure bike that will take you touring and also off-road bike packing without compromising any of the asphalt rolling quality. It uses 27.5 disc wheels and we prepared this for a slightly aggressive upright position that will simultaneously be comfortable enough on long rides.
We obviously chose Gevenalle shifting for reliability and straight forwardness on Shimano 105 but the details of this bike are many to list. Check out the 650B silver polished rims by VO, the new thru axle disc hubs in polished silver, Portland Design Works sparrow bottle cage and the OG bike packing bartape.
Voted on of the best bikes that came out of Toolhaus for 2021.
