Agi’s Milani SL227 custom paint carbon road bike

Build by Celeste Milani in their workspace in Gallarate, Milano – this is the SL227 carbon racing road bike. Milani’s incredible work on carbon is sculpture-like, using every cm of the frame to make it stronger, stiffer and more responsive. Classic Italian racing geometry (smallish headtube/ long toptube) with extra meat on the bottom bracket and incredible work on the sexy and curvy chain and seat stays. Totally stable on the descents, but light and stiff on the climb, digging up the asphalt with every pedal stroke. Milani bikes display their superior quality definitely on high, even racing speed where they show their aggressiveness but at the same time their extra-stable and trust-worthy handling. A remark on this build should be made on Yiannis Politis’ astonishing custom paintjob (on a motif suggested by Agi) with the gloss/matte engraved logos and lettering popping out in contrast to the fluo splashes.
