Bianchi Mixte restored ghetto build
This is a rare Bianchi Mixte frameset that was salvaged from the garbage. It was in a very bad shape, full of chips, scratches and some rusty bits. We restored the frame, paint it in the original celeste colour and added the era specific silkscreen decals.
Bianchi produced some of the most beautiful mixte bikes back in the day but very few have been saved from the passing of age and the rust of the basements that most probably have been thrown at. Nevertheless, a quality steel frame can always come back to life and the geometry of these things is really comfy for city riding.
We build this bike as an in-house beater for our City Tours service, and 95% of its parts (tyres, bars, cables excluded) are used parts that came from the shop and its trade capacity with its customers over the years that has been operating. So without further ado here is a humble bikecheck:
