Nikos’ Dodici Special complete

If you have thought that Athens is not producing pristine track bike builds think again! This guy goes around with the name Skylos Mavros and this is a build that admittedly has taken a very long time. Starting talking about it we have to mention Yiannis Politis’ incredible paintjob on the fork giving it a super-fluo touch. The frame is a 57cm Dodici Special in metallic purple. Building it we indulged in pure Italian track parts. Laced a pair of Campagnolo pista hubs on Mavic Open Pro (rear), H+Son SL42 (front) and dressed them up with Continental Gatorskins 25s.. We fitted a Campagnolo Record crankset on a Campy bottom bracket and let an Izumi Super Toughness NJS chain to run on the Euro Asia Standard 17t cog. For the upper part we chose a Thomson Elite with setback post and a San Marco Zoncolan saddle. For cockpit a Thomson Elite X2 stem to go with a Nitto B018 SSb oversize bullhorn bar. the front brake is a Campagnolo Veloce with a Paul Comp retro lever. This is an incredible build and we really happy it is being ridden the hell out of as we speak. Well done Skylos Mavros!
